Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHOC) Parents & Friends Association

The OLHOC Parents & Friends (P&F) Association is a welcoming and inclusive group made up of parents, carers, school staff, and parish members. All parents and guardians are automatically members—no sign-up is required, and everyone is encouraged to attend meetings, share ideas, or help out when possible.

The P&F Association exists to strengthen the partnership between families, the school, and the parish. We work together to support our students, enrich their school experience, and build a connected and supportive school community.

Recognised by the Church and Catholic education authorities, the P&F Association is the formal structure that represents all parents and carers in the school. It exists to support the school community and is involved in the total life of the school.

Parents and carers, as the first educators of their children, play a vital and collaborative role in shaping the values, experiences, and direction of the school. The P&F helps nurture a cooperative and connected school environment, where families are acknowledged as authentic partners in the learning and wellbeing of their children.

The P&F levy, collected as part of school fees, is not used for general fundraising. Instead, it directly funds events, programs, and initiatives that benefit our students and families, ensuring these remain financially accessible to all.

In addition to community events, the P&F supports teacher wish lists, providing resources that enhance classroom learning and funds other priority school items annually, based on consultation with school leadership.

The P&F also provides an open space for parents and carers to raise ideas, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations that support student wellbeing, transition, and school life. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, are valued.

Meetings

P&F meetings are generally held monthly during school terms. In 2025, meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. All parents and carers are warmly invited to attend. Your presence and input are always appreciated.

Stay Connected

There’s no formal commitment, just come along when you can, participate how you can, and know that your involvement helps build a strong and connected OLHOC community.

Together, we are OLHOC—families, staff, and parish working in faith and partnership to support our children and each other.
